Today is a day of rest for #azchallenge bloggers. I am going to try to visit some of the other bloggers participating in the challenge.

 

I am part of Pam’s Unconventional Alliance team. We help the hosts by checking the a to z list of participants to see if they are blogging or have decided to drop the challenge. My team is made up of awesome bloggers! Click on their links and stop by to say hello.

Pam (our general) blogs at http://unconventionallibrarian.com/ She is all about promoting diversity in literature for kids, teens, and young adults. Her theme this year is the Bad Girl’s Book Club. She is featuring strong, smart, girls who know how and when to break the rules. The books she shares are must reads!

Next, we have Shalini who has accepted the challenge by writing not one, but TWO blogs! Stop by and visit her at Something is Cooking where you will find recipes that will make you hungry and at a Tale of Two Tomatoes where Shalini details the life of a military wife. Amazing!

Rajlakshmi comes to us from Sydney and share photos and travel experiences at Twinkle Eyed Traveller. Since travel is in my blood I’m making lists of places to go and see. She is an accomplished photographer and I find myself daydreaming while viewing her beautiful pictures.

Evelyne Holingue is a French writer who blogs about a variety  of topics including learning to speak and write in a new language. Visit her website to read her theme All These Little French and American Words. She is actually posting in both French and English. Stop by her blog learn along with me.

Cynthia is a writer who blogs at Read is the New Black. She is blogging about authors whose work many of read in our younger days. Each post features a quote and details about the book and author. It is great to be reminded about old favorites and learn about books I may have missed. This is a great blog to read if you like books by authors such as Judy Blume, and Lois Duncan.

Shilpa blogs at A Rose is a Rose is a Rose. Her theme for 2016 is flash fiction – 55 word posts on the theme of cultivating happiness. Read her posts for a quick shot of joy.

Ellen, who blogs at The Cynical Sailor & His Salty Sidekick, has a very creative theme. She is writing a mystery as one of my favorite sleuths, Nancy Drew. A new chapter is posted every day in her Nancy Drew Investigates the Case of the Missing Anchor. Not only is she writing  a mystery in a month but she is sharing information about the sailing world. Mystery and boating fans should definitely check this blog out.

Jen, blogging at Lexical Creations, is writing a blog within a blog. She is sharing ABC books and then writing a story for each letter of the day during the a to z challenge. It is fitting to share ABC books during the A to Z Challenge (I wish I had thought of that idea) Her alphabetical stories are really fun.I can’t wait to see how she handles the letters Q and X.

Zalka, a storyteller from Hungary, is blogging about Representation and Diversity in Traditional Stories on her blog, The Multicolored Diary. She is focusing on lesser known stories written about different aspects of diversity from A to Z. She is quite a folklore expert and is sharing her wealth of information.

Author Sara Zama’s A to Z theme is Jazz Age Jazz. She writes about the origins and spread of jazz throughout the U.S. Her writing is well researched and the history is fascinating.  She includes photos, videos and musical clips as well as references for all of her research. You can read these very interesting posts on her blog, The Old Shelter.

Finally, I discovered Julie’s blog, DIY Adulation where she is writing about how to Organize your Life from A to Z. I caught up with her on letter B where she wrote about organizing books. She has also covered organizing arts and crafts, clothes, and decorations. I know this is one blog I’ll keep returning to. I need all the help I can get to be organized!
