We had a thrilling time in Paris and so now it’s on to Quebec where French is also spoken. I feel like I’m cheating a bit in this blog challenge. There are not many places that begin with the letter Q. I found no books about Qatar and the only book I could find about Quebec was an alphabet book so it will have to do. Actually, I learned a lot from reading:
F is for French A Quebec Alphabet
F comme Francais un abecedaire du Quebec
by Elaine Arsenault (author) and Renne Benoit
Sleeping Bear Press
Picture Book ages 6-9
This is a rhyming A B C book all about Quebec. It is written in both English and French and introduces us to this beautiful city. Aren’t the illustrations gorgeous?
I learned about the Bixi which is a public bike (great idea).
Cirque du Soleil
Hockey
The City of Quebec
Nunavik in the Arctic where the Inuit live.
Quebec is now on my list of places to see.
Have you ever been to Quebec?
Do you know of any children’s books set in Quebec?

I am lucky since I have been to the Quebec Province many times. I know Montreal fairly well and Quebec City too. No specific book come to my mind when I thimk of Quebec but Montreal for exemple has many, many bookstores and this is one of my favorite activities when I go there. Unlike the US, many are privately owned so it;s really nice.
Great transition after Paris, Claire.

I’ve not made it to Quebec yet but it sounds like a lovely place to visit. I’ll look for the bookstores when I do get there.
