Do you like challenges?
Do you like the alphabet?
Then, you might enjoy the A to Z April Blog Challenge where bloggers post following the alphabet. Some bloggers write about things that interest them in alphabetical order. Others choose to follow a theme.
This is the second year for me and I have a theme to reveal (drumroll, please)…
Read Your World A to Z!
Yes, I am a kidlit blogger who writes about books, places, and books that take you places, so this isn’t exactly new territory. But, I truly believe that books open doors to understanding other people and cultures. Since I had so much fun on Multicultural Children’s Book Day, I am going to continue to share books that celebrate and foster a greater understanding of the diverse lives of people who share this planet. For 26 days in April I will be leading field-trips-by-book set in different locations around the world.
Can you guess where this blog is going on April 1st? Here’s a clue: it is a place that starts with A!
Come along with me and read around the world. If you are participating in the challenge leave me a comment so that I can stop by and visit your blog. And, if you have a suggestion for X, let me know.

This is an awesome theme! I’ve seen someone else who’s doing books&diversity, but not doing related field trips. I’m really looking to your A-Z! I’m also doing the challenge (for the first time–eek!).

Hi Sabina,
Thanks for stopping by. I love traveling and books provide a great way to go places.
This is my second year doing the April A to Z blog challenge. I’m hoping to be a bit more organized than last year. I’m heading over to visit you now.

That’s a fun idea! As someone from Hungary, I often realize that I grew up with very different children’s books from my American friends. Looking forward to this!
